"Growin' Up" includes a version of the spaceman story featuring Ed Sciaky. "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" features a snippet of "Theme From Shaft" in the midsection. This gig has traditionally been noted in books as Springsteen's first-ever large indoor arena concert as a headliner - however, in reality the Springsteen show at Vets Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix on September 26 probably deserves that title. This one came about from a conversation I had with Mark(mjk5510) last year when he put out a separate incomplete version of this show. Previously he had shared another incomplete version with different tracks. I told him I had what I thought was a complete version and would look into it. Of course it kinda slipped my mind and now I am getting more time to look into these tapes. There is also a complete version from Fanatic and Mr. Anonymous, and a bootleg from Contemporary/Dasuye. These appear to be a different recorder altogether. Upon review by some folks with a more discerning ear, this appears to be a COMPLETE copy of the incomplete Recorder 3 shared by mjk5510 in April 2020. Thanks also to Mark for doing some post-production tweaking. He detected a high pitched hum during the quiet parts and graciously removed it. Enjoy, Ivan
