This recorder appears to not circulate at all in the torrent era and could be confused with Recorder 2 as they are very similar in quality and ambience. The final leg of the tour I've always found under appreciated. It shows solidly sit between the marathon shows that closed out 1980 and the short but tighter focused shows in Europe. This was one of four shows postponed after Bruce became ill extending the the final leg of the tour by about a week. The Horizon was originally only scheduled for two shows but after the postponement an additional show was added prior to this show making this show the second of three rather than the first of two. There are a number of things that make this show highly recommended, it contains the sole 1980-1981 performance of "She's The One" with a slightly shorter "Mona" intro than can be found on the 1978 tour. The second set kicks off in high gear with a rousing version of "For You" and Detroit Medley includes the fist ever "Mony Mony". In addition, besides the always welcome "I Fought The Law" and "Who'll Stop The Rain" we are treated to a fairly rare final leg performance of "Wreck On The Highway". I believe this version is recorded from the main floor based on the audience yelling "sit down" at the beginning of "Factory". I have removed all of this yelling as it was very annoying and completely destroyed the atmosphere of the song. This is a note though that if others check their tapes against this version, if it doesn't have someone yelling "sit down" multiple times in the first 20 seconds of "Factory" it's not this recorder. As mentioned, quality is similar to Recorder 2 however, I would give this Recorder 3 just a slight nod over it and in my humble opinion consider it the best version of this show though your mileage may entirely differ. Recorder 1 is quite good but based on the slight reverb it is likely taped in the balcony and from an unknown generation so not quite as sharp, any of the 3 known recorders do this fine show justice. Samples and as always artwork is included... Thanks to DS for access to his extensive archives which continues to treat us to many riches... mjk5510
