By the time the 'Born In The USA' Tour entered the final month of the opening leg of the tour the band was a fine tuned machine and we get some tremendous shows during the month of December. The Tallahassee show with the only known playing of "Tallahassee Lassie" during "Detroit Medley" is easily one of the highlights of the opening leg and has been needing an upgrade.

With this release we finally get access to the master tapes captured by legendary taper John Tsalikes. Sadly, John passed away in 2003 and we are very fortunate that longtime collector/taper AK has a copy of John's master cassettes preserved on CDR.

AK reached out to have the final touches put on his copy he had been working and the result is a massive upgrade.

The capture is tremendous, the majority of annoying audience noises near John have been cleaned, it also needed a pitch adjustment and comes with two small cuts. The first cut is the opening notes of 'Born In The USA', JT must have had a technical issue as the show kicked off. The countdown begins as lesser quality than the balance of the show, it cuts before the song kicks off and then cuts back in a second or so after the opening notes, at this point whatever issue he was having has been corrected as the quality is superb from then on.
The second cut comes at the start of "I'm On Fire".
