This is the 2d show I ever recorded. After being late for the first, I made sure to be in my seat in plenty of time for this show! Every recording starts with the quality of the performance, and this final night of 7 at the LA Sports Arena was certainly special. Shut Out the Light was dedicated to Ron Kovic, the author of Born on the 4th of July, who was in the audience. Other shows also dedicated this song to Ron, but there is something about the performance that makes it stand out. So too with No Surrender, dedicated to Bruce’s absent friend, Little Steven. This is not the fist-pumping campaign slogan version of No Surrender. You can feel the love and longing Bruce has for his friend of 20 years. It makes your heart ache for him. Racing in the Street is very special - the November ’84 run brought us many excellent performances of this song, and this night is certainly one of the best. Jungleland, the extended Twist & Shout, and even Santa Claus makes an appearance. What a great show to close the 7 show stand! Hrubesh has done a wonderful job of remastering the transfer by hobbes from the original master tapes. I hope everyone enjoys this wonderful show! JimCT Recorded by JimCT. Transferred by hobbes4444.
