Bruce Springsteen & the E street band Valle Hovin stadium, Oslo, Norway July 8, 2008 (second night) Taped and spread by Bull Lineage: Core Sound LC binaural mics > iRiver H320/Rockbox > 44.1KHz 16-bit wav. Tracks split in CDWave, compressed to FLAC level 6. Last track completed with Zokrates recording, made with an Edirol R09. Recorded from the left middle of the stage (my usual "sweet spot"). Sound quality is good, but you will hear that the recording is done from the front of the crowd, with a little bit of audience sound and talking between some songs. Tracks: 01 Intro 02 Night 03 Out in the Street 04 Radio Nowhere 05 Adam Raised a Cain 06 Spirit in the Night 07 Growin' Up 08 You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch) 09 The Promised Land 10 If I Should Fall Behind 11 I’ll Work for Your Love 12 Roulette 13 Trapped 14 Murder Incorporated 15 Working on the Highway 16 Livin' in the Future 17 Mary's place 18 Waitin' on a Sunny Day 19 short intermezzo, Bruce talking a little bit 20 From Small Things (Big Things One Day Come) 21 The Rising 22 Born in the U.S.A. 23 Last to Die (cut, completed with Zokrates version) Track 23 was cut in my recording, so I included the last part of the track from Zokrates' recording. If people want the complete show in one file set, they can use this one as a basis, and combine it with tracks 23-34 from my 2011 edit of the Zokrates recording. Then you will have a comlete, almost seamless show. I originally thought I had lost this show. Because the Oslo shows in 2008 was a "double take" with two nights in a row, I didn't get to charge my recorder between the nights out there in the rain outside the stadium. So at one point during the show the battery was dead, and when I tried to open the wav file, nothing worked. Then Zokrates' version appeared, and I didn't put any effort in looking for a solution on my own recording. But recently I was asked to repost the show, and when I looked at Zokrates' version, I found that it would be worth a try to rescue what was in my own recording. A quick question on the Dime mailing list led me to the fix - just importing it as raw data in Audacity (sigh). Thanks to Alasdair for giving me the Audacity clue, thanks to Zokrates for giving us a complete recording of this night, and thanks to all you Bruce fanatics giving us a good time before and during the shows - you know who you are.
