Info
These are two 8.5" x 11" pages of paperwork plus an unused/unpeeled 5" x 5" sticker for an unreleased Columbia Records promo-only "Prove It All Night" 12-inch single. The single was to feature the unreleased live 01 Jul 1878 version of the song on the A side and the album version on the B side. This promo single, which has catalogue number AS480, was never released.
The project, which was to capture the excitement of a Springsteen concert and was to be sent to radio stations to garner radio play similar to the "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town" promo, was reportedly cancelled on Springsteen's orders at the last minute.
The first sheet is the pressing plant's working sheet detailing everything about its production. The second sheet is Columbia Records' mock-up of what the promo labels were going to look like showing the 7:45 minute live version on one side and the album version on the other side. The sticker was supposed to be applied to a plain white cardboard LP sleeve housing the disc. Scans/Photos
