Re: 2014-2015 remastered reissues
...and some questions about the above.
The Album Collection Vol. 1, vinyl issue (2014):
Was it also released in Europe, or was it imported from the USA? No Japanese issue exists, right?
The Album Collection Vol. 1, CD issue (2014):
I only have the USA issue. Can we confirm that the European issue is made in Germany? I don't have a copy.
First seven albums, CD issues (2015):
I bought the European issues recently and none has a sticker? Did some come with stickers?
It seems that the Australian issues do not have stickers. Can we confirm that?

Re: 2014-2015 remastered reissues
I got my vinyl release of the box set from amazon.de and it's the US release. So I believe it's imported to Europe. Strange thing is that the LPs were actually pressed in France.

Re: 2014-2015 remastered reissues
That's interesting... but I wouldn't rule out the existence of a European box set because the one on Amazon.de is a US one. I have bought several of the 2015 individual LP's from several European retailers (Amazon, Fanc...) and some turned out to be U.S. pressings... so it could be that it was a matter of supply.schrefel wrote:I got my vinyl release of the box set from amazon.de and it's the US release. Now the LP's being pressed in France, that's very interesting. I have only the U.S. box set, and it's sealed so I can’t check where the LP's were pressed. But a fellow collector scanned his copy (the insert, the LPs, the complete booklet) and sent me the JPEG's -- the LPs are indeed U.S. pressing: U.S. copyright text on the rear sleeves and "Printed in U.S.A." on the labels.
So, first, please compare your insert with the below scan. Is it exactly the same? If yes, then it seems that the US pressing and the EU pressing are different only ion the inside: same insert, but LP's pressed in the U.S. and in France respectively. That would be a nightmare for those who want to have both pressings but keep their copies sealed.
Re: 2014-2015 remastered reissues
The labels are not a sure proof that they were pressed in the US, e.g. all of the Chapter & Verse releases are made in EU but the US version hast it's own labels. If I remember right I got the fact that they LPs were pressed in France from an article on Analog Planet http://www.analogplanet.com/
I'll check my box when I'm back in Vienna were my vinyl collection is stored. Keep you posted.

Re: 2014-2015 remastered reissues
Ok, makes sense. I thought that you meant in your previous post that the LP's in your copy of the box set (that you bought from Amazon.de) have something like "Made In France" on the sleeves or the labels.
Anyway, let me rephrase my question: is there a European version and a U.S. version (and maybe a Japanese version)? By "version" I mean, even if they are pressed at the same plant (MPO in France), is there anything different in the packaging or the labels? I just found the answer here. I see a Sony Music logo found on the European issue but not the U.S. issue.
I wonder if there are more differences, like on the LP artwork and inserts (I doubt it) or the label (probably). Maybe you can compare with your copy when you have it hands. Here are the complete scans of the U.S. issue.
I guess both EU and US 2015 reissues of the individual albums were also pressed at MPO.
As for Chapter & Verse, maybe later we start another topic to list all the available CD and LP versions.

a closer shot on the EU release:
and a label from the Darkness album
So I think the only difference is the sheet for the backside of the box.

Re: 2014-2015 remastered reissues
Thank you for checking. That settles it. I think the EU versions of the individually released albums also have the same labels as the US versions, only differing in the text at the bottom of the rear sleeve.schrefel wrote:So I think the only difference is the sheet for the backside of the box.

Re: 2014-2015 remastered reissues
I noticed that, regarding the 2015 remastered vinyl issues, it is the sticker that decides if a copy in hand is an EU issue or a US issue. Of course, they all were pressed in France, but some were sold in Europe and some were exported to the US.
There are three types of stickers:
- The 2015 EU issues have rectangular (90x70mm or 90x75mm) stickers
- The 2015 US issues have square (90x90mm) stickers
- The 2014 RSD issues have their special square (90x90mm) stickers
Observations:
- The stickers on the US issues (2015 and RSD) are always on the bottom left side
- The stickers on the EU issues are generally on the right side, with some exceptions
- The text is identical between issues, but the font size and the spacing vary
Text at the bottom of the rear sleeve (US issue and some EU issue):
550 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10022-3211 / "Columbia" and Reg. U.S. Pat. & Tim. Off. Marca Registrada...
This applies to all seven US releases and four EU releases:
- Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. (US)
- The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle (US)
- Born To Run (US)
- Darkness On The Edge Of Town (US)
- The River (US)
- Nebraska (US)
- Born In The U.S.A. (US)
- Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. (EU)
- The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle (EU)
- Darkness On The Edge Of Town (EU)
- Nebraska (EU)
Text at the bottom of the rear sleeve (some EU issue):
Sony Music Entertainment International Services GmbH, PO Box 510, 33311 Gütersloh, Germany... Made In The EU...
This applies to only three EU releases:
- Born To Run (EU)
- The River (EU)
- Born In The U.S.A. (EU)
The below images make it easier comparing the various issue. I will be updating these images with better quality scans when I get my hands on more of these reissues. So far I have 6 of the 7 EU ones and 1 (and 3 on the way) of the 7 US issues. I also have all 7 RSD issues.

Re: 2014-2015 remastered reissues
ONE QUESTION: To be 100% sure of what I wrote above, can someone with the European box set check his copy (if not sealed) and confirm that four of the albums have US text on the sleeve and three have EU text?
Re: 2014-2015 remastered reissues
Had a quick check on my european box and all of the releases are with the US text.
