Live 18 Mar 2011 version
[Spoken intro (Ken Casey):] Hey, so you always hear me talking about my grandmother up in the, uh, balcony, right? I gotta say, I got the two coolest grandmothers in the world: my grandmother Peg Casey, who's not here tonight and my grandmother Peg Kelly, and with two grandmothers named Peg, we had to do this song called "Peg O' My Heart", right? My grandmother Peg Casey talked me into it. They thought it was pretty cool, but not cool enough, so I had to call this guy from Jersey! Hey? You may know him! Come on out, make grandma happy! Wanna hear a song, grandma? This one's for all the grandmother's out there!
[Spoken (Ken Casey):] Let's do this, Bruce, Peg O' My Heart!
Ken Casey: | Peg o' my heart, I love you |
Don't let us part, I love you
I always knew it would be you, peg o' my heart
Dropkick Murphys and Springsteen: | Since I heard your lilting laughter |
It's your Irish heart I'm after
Peg o' my heart | |
Bruce Springsteen | Peg o' my heart, your glance |
Make my heart sing, you got hance
Peg o' my heart, come make your home in my heart
Ken Casey: | Peg o' my heart, I love you |

I always knew it would be you, peg o' my heart

And you know I'll always be true

It's your Irish heart I'm after

The above lyrics are for the live 18 Mar 2011 performance of PEG O' MY HEART at House Of Blues in Boston, MA. Bruce Springsteen shared lead vocals and played guitar on this song.
Bruce Springsteen was watching the show with his son and Max Weinberg, whose son Jay drummed for the opening act, Against Me! He then joined the band onstage during the encore for three songs: PEG O' MY HEART, BADLANDS, and I'M SHIPPING UP TO BOSTON. This was the band's last performance of a three-night stand at House Of Blues during St. Patrick's Day weekend. It was reported that Jon Landau, Springsteen's manager, called Ken Casey the previous day and said that his client would be at the show. A closed sound-check took place prior to the show, and Springsteen and the Dropkick Murphys went over the songs in front of an audience of about twelve people.
Thanks Jake (ol'catfishinthelake at BTX and Greasy Lake) for the lyrics help.
