Live 05 Apr 1995 (Sony Music Studios) version
[Take 1:]
[Spoken intro:] Alright. We're gonna start in a mellow mood (chuckles). We haven't played these much, alright (chuckles). Alright, yeah, let's do it.
Well, we played king of the mountain out on the end
The world came charging up the hill, and we were women and men
Now there's so much that time, time and memory fade away
We got our own roads to ride and chances we got to take
Well, we stood side by side each one fighting for the other
And we said until we died we'll always be blood brothers
Now the hardness of this world slowly grinds your dreams away
Making a fool's joke out of the promises we make
And what once seemed black and white turns to so many shades of gray
We lose ourselves in work to do, work to do and bills to pay
And it's a ride, ride, ride, and there ain't much cover
With no one running by your side, my blood brother
On through the houses of the dead past those fallen in their tracks
Always moving ahead and never looking back
Now I don't know how I feel, I don't know how I feel tonight
If I've fallen 'neath the wheel, if I've lost or I've gained sight
I don't even know why, don't know why I made this call
Or if any of this matters anymore after all
But the stars are burning bright like some mystery uncovered
And I'll keep moving through the dark with you in my heart, my blood brother
[Spoken outro:] Alright, so you know well a few songs.
[Take 2:]
[Spoken intro:] Alright, we gotta cover a couple of these things they want us to do again and... and we'll roll on, and we'll roll on (chuckles). Alright (clears throat), alright. Alright. Ok ??? (clears throat). ???. Here we go.
